Grab a handful of herbs, cut them off at the base, and wrap with a rubber band about an inch or two from the end of the stems. Make easy to handle bundles ready to hang for drying. Rubber bands work great because they will remain tight even as the herb stems shrink during the drying process.
This is one tool I always have in my basket whenever I head out to harvest wether in the garden or the forest. One bag will last for many harvests. Rubber is also a natural material that will biodegrade and not harm the environment.
