Medicinal Plants of the Pacific West by Michael Moore is a necessity for anyone wanting to forage wild medicine in the PNW.
I use this book more than any other, it is a must-have for the herbalist library. While this isn’t the best book for learning PNW plant identification, it is invaluable for learning the medicinal properties and historical uses of many PNW plants as used by the first nations. This book combined with a good identification manual are the two books we always carry with us when we head out wildcrafting.
